By accessing or using vagabondwriters.org or enrolling in any Vagabond Writers Collective course or workshop, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Vagabond Writers Collective is operated by Tyler Lyman (“VWC,” “we,” “us”).
Vagabond Writers Collective provides online writing workshops, cohort-based courses, and related educational content. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time with reasonable notice.
Course fees are stated at the time of enrollment. Payment is processed through Stripe. By enrolling, you authorize us to charge the stated fee to your payment method.
Refund policy
Full refunds are available up to one week before the cohort start date. After that date, we can apply your payment as a credit toward a future cohort. No refunds are issued once the cohort has begun.
If we cancel a cohort, you will receive a full refund.
You retain full ownership of all writing you submit to the platform: drafts, submissions, and any other creative work.
By submitting work to a workshop, you grant VWC and your enrolled cohort members a limited license to read and discuss that work as part of the course. This license is limited to the workshop context and does not extend to publication or redistribution.
We will not publish, share, or reproduce your writing outside the workshop without your explicit written consent.
Participation in VWC workshops requires honest engagement with the work. You agree not to:
Violation of these conduct standards may result in removal from a cohort without refund.
All platform content created by VWC, including course materials, instructor feedback, site copy, and design, is owned by Vagabond Writers Collective. You may not reproduce or distribute it without permission.
Your writing remains yours. See “Your Content” above.
The service is provided “as is.” We make no guarantees about outcomes: publication, agent representation, career advancement, or any specific result from participation in a workshop.
To the extent permitted by law, VWC’s liability for any claim arising from use of the service is limited to the amount you paid for the specific course or service at issue.
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify active users of material changes by email. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
These terms are governed by the laws of the state in which VWC operates. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.
